What is a wireless network?
The principle is very simple and is probably best understood if you think about a Walkie-Talkie. A Walkie-Talkie will pick up your voice, encode it and transmit it through the aerial. Another Walkie-Talkie then receives the transmission, decodes it and then plays the transmission through a speaker.
Wireless networks are exactly the same, but they work with computer data, not the human voice. One computer will encode its data and transmit it through the wireless network card's aerial. Another computer then receives the information, decodes it and displays the data on the screen.
